There’s something God showed me recently:
The life of Christ is a filter.
Everything that’s said to me—how people treat me, even how I feel day to day—if I don’t allow Christ’s life to filter it, I find myself getting easily offended. Easily agitated. Quick to pull back or even cut people off.
But when I choose to filter my reactions through the life of Christ—His love, His patience, His peace—my whole approach changes.
I don’t have to stay in pain. I don’t have to shut down.
Now, when something happens that stings, I pause. I remind myself:
“Receive it through the life of Christ.”
And somehow, I’m able to move forward. To speak again. To reconnect. With no bitterness or silent walls.
Jesus said we are the salt of the earth. But if that salt loses its flavor—its grace, its power—we lose our impact.
I believe the life of Christ is that salt. It seasons our walk, our reactions, our speech.
So today, I just want to thank God.
For loving me enough to give me His life.
So I can live, not in my own strength—but in His.
That’s what keeps me steady. That’s what keeps me forgiving. That’s what keeps me walking in the fruit of the Spirit.
And if this helped you, I pray you’ll share it.
Because somebody else might need this reminder too.
