Today, I choose: Imitator.
Ephesians 5:1–2 “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”
Reflection To be an imitator of God is not an act of performance; it is the overflow of relationship.
Scripture anchors imitation in identity: “as dear children.”
Children imitate not because they are instructed, but because they are connected. What they behold, they become.
God’s nature is love, and Christ revealed how that love walks. His life was poured out, not held back. Love led Him, obedience carried Him, and surrender defined His steps.
When I choose to be an imitator of God today, I choose to walk in love as His dear child.
Amen.
