Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1 Corinthians 2:12 (KJV)
Today I choose freely. God did not give me His Spirit so I could spend my life struggling to obtain what Christ has already secured for me. He gave me His Spirit so I can know, embrace, and walk in the riches of His grace.
The Spirit of God continually reveals what Heaven has already provided. In Christ, I have freely received forgiveness for my sins, righteousness before God, peace for my heart, wisdom for my decisions, strength for my journey, and power to fulfill His purpose. These are not rewards for human effort — they are gifts of divine grace.
The spirit of this world says, earn more, strive more, prove yourself. But the Spirit of God says, receive what Christ has accomplished. As I grow in the knowledge of Him, I discover that I am not living from lack but from abundance. I am not trying to gain God’s acceptance; I am living from His acceptance. I am not fighting for victory; I am walking in the victory Christ has already won.
Today, I refuse to think like the world. I choose to think like a son, a daughter, an heir of God. Through the Holy Spirit, my eyes are opened to see all that my Father has freely given me in Christ. Therefore, I will live with confidence, gratitude, and expectation, knowing that His grace is more than enough for every area of my life.
I freely receive by the Spirit all that my Father has freely given to me in Christ.
